Butch Yu – HAPI-Leyte Lead Convener : A True Humanist

Posted by Marissa Langseth | Posted on September 16, 2018

A new HAPI-Leyte convener was selected, Butch Yu – a true humanist being depicted in above pictures.

Today, I write about an artist, humanist, a Living Hero, & friend, Sir Butch Yu. He is handicapped in his right arm as he got suddenly sick of meningitis the very same day he was born.
This world is sometimes tough & many swiftly judge than to know & understand. Bullies become hip branding their victims as the ones negative or bad, making life a struggle.
I would neither know nor fathom whatever pain this humble & good soul has sometimes gone through in his life, but this much I can say, he strives to remain good in spite of all & never gives up. He chases his dream, lives, & functions amidst everything. And he even shares his time & life to contribute & provide aid where help is needed. He has overcrossed a river to render environmental aid, wholeheartedly aiding Mother Earth in recovery. He has contributed his care, attention, & love in mass feeding of children in schools. He has served, in Solidarity, in the mass feeding & painting lesson humanitarian aid project for the disabled people hoping to return or enhance their self esteem after a lifelong struggle, inducing the idea of art as an ingenious pass of time, passing our knowledge onto them so that they might find joy and significance. Simple as you may gauge him, is an extraordinary fighting spirit. An active force.
Ultimately in life, at times we can not change a situation or help, we should not belittle, prejudice or hurt, but know, understand, & learn. May we always appreciate all his good effort. And may we acknowledge this amazing soul!
On behalf of all our friends & our less fortunate fellow men, thank you Sir Butch Yu, for all the good that you do for humanity.
In profound gratitude, with you in Solidarity.

Gerontocracy in the Philippines
