HAPI People

Law of Natural Selection has taken place in our organization recently. We did not lose any; in fact, we gained more. The brightest and the most active volunteers then are the newly elected and appointed HAPI Officers and Board of Trustees now, effective October 1, 2017.

Alvin John Ballares, HAPI Executive Director since Sept 23, 2017

“In HAPI, I feel more at home. So much so that it finally gave me the gall to quit the church. Now I am free, and now I can grow.” — Alvin John Ballares, ‘From Superstition to Reason’. He was the HAPI – Bacolod Humanist Alliance Philippines, International Lead Convener. Under his leadership, Bacolod became the most active chapter of HAPI. He has the bragging rights for having the best photos and a great camaraderie at Foundation Beyond Belief – two times in a row. He is also an ex-Pastor, hardcore atheist, a loving humanist and human rights activist.

Dwengster Bulaclac, CFO, LGBT Leader in MM, writer, Editor, Counselor

Chief Financial Officer, and head of the Finance department is  Dwengster Bulaclac.

A very gregarious human being and a multi-tasker, he is the best money manager HAPI has ever had. Cool, level-headed, calm and tactful, thanks to his University of the Philippines Diliman education. Raised in a family of NGO practitioners, he has offered almost 2 decades of his existence to public welfare. A busy digital marketer these days, but he always finds time to stand up for his LGBT community and of course, HAPI.

Alain Sayson Presillas, teacher extraordinaire, BOT, Founder of HAPI-Compre in Cebu City.

Alain Sayson Presillas is the Founder of HAPI Compre, with over 20 students learning about critical thinking, logic and reason. Hailing from Cebu, he is the President of Mandaue City Comprehensive National High School (MCCNHS) Faculty Association. Also, he is the representative of the central district of Mandaue City, secondary level, with two Master’s degrees and currently in Law School at University of San Carlos. Very humble but full of knowledge and personality. His ambition is to build a secular school.

Jaimie Del Rosario Martinez, HAPI Executive secretary, Leader and Project Coordinator HAPI Kids since 2014.

Jamie del Rosario used to be religious, became agnostic  who does not really care whether there is a god or not. She is happily married with 3 kids, and lives in Alabang, in Muntinlupa. As an Executive Secretary, she is the most active HAPI member since her arrival in 2014. She is the Project Manager of HAPI Kids Nutrition Campaign. She is also in charge of overseeing HAPI Humanist Store and Merchandise since 2017.

Juan Miguel Silva – Internal HAPI Auditor

Newly appointed Internal Auditor of HAPI was Bacolod Chapter’s resident organic farming guy. A graphic artist who often volunteers to make posters for ReKindle PH. Currently, he works in an administrative staff for the Bacolod City government. He was the logistics officer and the bookkeeper of their family business. He was also a Fraud Specialist at JP Morgan, a certified Black Belt Six Sigma.

Rayd Espeja – BOT/PRO HAPI-Bacolod Lead Convener

Rayd Espeja is a fearless activist offline, teacher, LGBTQ rights hardcore advocate. Also, a HAPI Trustee and a mentor to the HAPI Junior in Bacolod.

There are other HAPI Officers who support our new Board of Trustees by managing back-end tasks, and providing online content for our many programs.
