HAPI in partnership with EEGCI will once again, build houses for the poor farmers in Valladolid, Negros Occidental, Philippines. This specific endeavor was started in February, 2018 to continue until the 10 houses are done, which has been promised by HAPI .
The recipients are chosen by EEGCI chairman, Art Alvarez, who knows these farmers very well based on their history and economic stance. Unfortunately, we can only build 8 more for them, a total of 10 HAPI homes as promised by HAPI Founder and Emeritus, Marissa Torres Langseth.
Some have been built already and more homes will be built as soon as the farmers have procured the necessary materials such as bamboos and nipa leaves, nails and other paraphernalia for the additional HAPI Homes.
The carpenters are all volunteers so we are not in a rush for them to finish the 8 more houses.
We are very appreciative of their effort and their volunteering spirit for humanity in general. HAPI is grateful to find these very industrious people in Negros Occidental.
We hope that they gain more strength, by our support to diminish their suffering during monsoon season.
