14. February 2016 – Environmental Aid / Cleanup Drive, dubbed as “A Date with Nature on a Valentine’s Day”, carried out from the outside of St. Mark Parish Church & then at the beach of Linao from Purok 5 up to purok 6, Ormoc City, Leyte.

Humanity is a wonderful force. With the same spark of aspiration & hard work like every year, carrying out our duties in justifying humanity’s meaning & relevance, we have continued joining forces, reaching out to be there for each other & everyone needing us, giving our support & help the best we possibly can.

Alone in the recently departed year, 2016, these were the successful humanitarian & environmental aid projects that we have done in Leyte chapter, to wit:

6.) 15. December 2016 Mass Feeding & Painting Workshop for the children of Purok 8, Quintolimbo Brgy. Naungan, Ormoc City, being there for the children celebrating the holiday season passionately trying hard to feed & make them happy.
7.) 10. December 2016 – The making & launching of the 1st edition of the yearly Rebelblood Art Magazine. To help our fellow artists get a good start & acknowledgement, & to feature & promote their artworks.

Time is a precious gift; one life, one chance. We won’t be here forever but we are giving our all while we are around. I further appeal to my circle that may we continue to protect & fight for our mother nature & that may we never halt to selflessly devote & live our lives in the service, support, contribution & aid to humanity. We truly live when we work for the welfare of our fellowmen, yet it is when we volunteer our lives for their rescue that we have achieved the paramount comprehension of human bond.

Profoundly grateful for this life & this chance, & all the more deeply thankful to all compatriot fellow artists of Ormoc & to our entire humanists & atheists union for helping & functioning good with me, & especially to the remarkable leadership of HAPI Founder and Chairwoman Emeritus, Marissa Torres Langseth,  for keeping us all together & strengthening our stand as atheists stronger in this world. Inspired by all of you, my friends (religious & humanists / atheists), with your hero blood nobility & legendary altruism, I look forward to further keeping in touch & working with you in this year 2017 & for as long as I live.

With you in Solidarity,
Lucille von Hörsten
