I had this plan since my last visit there in Feb. – March 2015. It shocked me observing how people just throw rubbish they carry as they please, & seeing places so dirty. I had lived 18 yrs in the Phil., I’ve been living here in central Europe since 29 years, it is the European influence in me that finds it difficult to accept that kind of airiness. We are precise in segregating & disposing our garbage here. I tried to lecture everyone when I was there but it is not really helping. With the artists group I am with, I could at least make the project . I contacted one of our members Vijay Antopina who suggested to do it in Linao. Knowing the place as I was there & saw it, I thought it best too. He negotiated with the Barangay captain to get us a permit. We then coordinated online as I involved other groups. And we were very lucky to have the big help of Yoyoy Cala, Patty Dechavez Quilantang, & Montesclaros Rocelo who made it possible for us to contribute our joint effort & help to mother nature & our community; a meaningful & significant deed on a special day.
