HAPI SHADE Gift Giving Project at Quezon City!

On December 23, 2017, Ms. Jean Karla M. Tapao, the officer-in-charge of HAPI SHADE (Secular Humanist Advocacy Development Education), Quezon City chapter together with her team shared love and joy through Gift Giving at Barangay North Fairview, Quezon City.

The HAPI SHADE Gift Giving Project is an outreach project for the less privileged Filipino children to celebrate the spirit of giving especially this holiday seasons. This program also aims to gather partners and volunteers and encourage them to share happiness with others. “Holidays are not only spending time with your family and relatives or having fun
with your friends… for me, it is about sharing happiness with others. I want to make them feel special and happy with this simple but meaningful event.” Ms. Jean Karla M. Tapao said. HAPI SHADE QC in partnership with Milenyo Youth Council (MYC) reached out to more than 100 children at Atherton St. Phase 8, North Fairview, Quezon City.
MYC or Milenyo Youth Council is a youth organization in Bgry. North Fairview Quezon City since November 19, 2005. Mr. Jayve Frech Marigondon, the founding Chairman of MYC, who planned and organized the officers-in-charge and members in the organization. The organization is composed of elementary pupils, junior and senior high school students, college graduates, and out-of-school youth, who are willing to spend their time and effort for the improvement of their beloved barangay. The Milenyo kids enjoyed a fun-filled party where they received gift packs containing school supplies items from HAPI SHADE and snacks from Maligaya Elementary School volunteer teachers.
“It is a great opportunity to share and make children happy. HAPI SHADE can help children in many ways their social, educational, environmental and spiritual aspects of life.“ Mary Kristine D. Borras, a volunteer teacher at Maligaya Elementary School. “It’s nice and can give happiness to those less fortunate children. It makes children happy and it really feels good to help those little ones…” Ferly D.Huinda Lady, a volunteer teacher at Maligaya Elementary School.

The event was hosted by Ms. Jean Karla M. Tapao, the event coordinator of HAPI
SHADE, Quezon City chapter and assisted by Mr. Jayve Frech Marigondon.
The program lasted for 3 hours from 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
