Good news! HAPI has a new affiliate that will issue a tax deductible receipt, everytime you donate to HAPI through their website, Humanists Global.
I just donated some money to an organization that caters to people outside the USA. They are called Brighter Brains Institute, their projects are called Humanists Global. https://humanists.global/.
The Brighter Brains Institute, a USA 501c3 non-profit headquartered in the San Francisco East Bay, California, USA has been operational since I became an atheist activist, way back when.
I read their information and it just clicked to me that, HAPI can also affiliate with them since HAPI is not registered in the USA. We need a 501c3 to get a tax deductible receipt in the USA. Humanists Global made it very seamless for HAPI. Integrity and credibility count a lot. In short, we now have a conduit for US donations to HAPI based in the Philippines.
This organization forwards the donations to those societies in Africa, like Uganda and Nigeria and other part of the globe. I copy pasted here what they do;
Humanists Global:
We provide $300 start-up funds to humanist entrepreneurs & organizations – primarily in SubSaharan African nations (Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania) but also in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Turkey.
From 2014-2018 we built 4 humanist schools & 2 humanist orphanages, and promoted a humanist curriculum in multiple other schools.
We provide college scholarship funding to humanist students, primarily in Nigeria and Uganda
We are partnered with HAPI (Humanist Alliance Philippines International) to deliver charity aid in The Philippines.
YES, they just partnered with HAPI. However, I know some of these people since 2011 on Facebook and they know me too.
Again, it is good to have integrity and credibility, HAPI can make some arrangements with people who want to help us, without much ado.
In fact, they have also donated to our HAPI-GA in Bacolod, in 2018, for some educational purposes for younger critical thinkers.
