To change one community at a time!A HAPI project we did for the Riles community in Muntinlupa. A plastic bottle collecting chamber.

We had taught the community how to recycle and the importance of doing this to minimize pollution. The kids will value the environment more by teaching them this simple act while young.

Once this chamber is full, the community will sell the collected plastic bottles to a junkshop. The sales every now and then will be logged in on the tarp so that the community will know how much they earn from this, at the end of the year, they will all share this as their fund for xmas party or any events!

Needless to mention, the regular monthly feeding  session called HAPI Nutricamp was done simultaneously  with this event.

PS. We celebrated Pride day to recognize our LGBT members by wearing a sash too.

This project was spearheaded by Jennifer Gutierrez, HAPI Executive Director and Jamie del Rosario Martinez, HAPI Nutricamp Project Manager
