Humanist Alliance Philippines, International (HAPI) warned the public on August 13th of 2018 against trusting online pages and social media accounts that falsely represent the organization. The warning followed a report by a concerned donor who found suspicious business and employee profiles while doing some personal research.
It has come to the attention of Founder Marissa Torres-Langseth, RN, MSN, ANP that some ZoomInfo profiles unofficially list names, titles and activities of HAPI. The profiles have been removed but may continue to appear in search results. The person or purpose behind the said unofficial profiles remains unknown. HAPI asks the public to report suspicious online profiles and social media accounts to [email protected] as soon as possible.
For the purpose of emphasis and clarity, HAPI reiterated that the organization has been under new leadership since September 15th of 2017. ALEX TRACY WISNER (also known as “Marco Mendoza” on Facebook) resigned irrevocably after being mistakenly elected as Membership Director, and as Chairperson of eight months. Founder Marissa Torres Langseth, RN, MSN, ANP has since been reinstated as Chairperson due to persistent demand by the majority of donors and members in what seemed like Charles Darwin’s Law of Natural Selection at work.
Among other resignees are Bobby Olarte (former Assistant Chairperson), Jennifer Gutierrez Baltazar (former Executive Director), Danielle Erika Hill (former Youth Affairs Director) and Cris Rafael Silao (former International Convenor). Others were resigned without their full knowledge and understanding of the consequences.
The new leadership has expressed interest in accepting resignees sans the opportunity to hold executive, trustee and advisory office. Resignees may send in their letters of intent at their earliest convenience.
New HAPI leaders are: Michael Sherman as Assistant Chairman; AJ Ballares as Executive Director; McJarwin Cayacap as National Events Director; Dwengster Bulaclac as Chief Financial Officer; Dirk Vader as Membership Director; and Manuel Felicia as Legal Affairs Director, not to mention a younger board of trustees who have been tasked to guide HAPI’s service projects. Witness them take their oath of office at HAPI Triple Treat: The Road Ahead.
