December 25th marks the 7th year anniversary of HAPI! It has been seven years of ups and downs, struggles and triumphs, differences and unification. There were even several changes implemented before the end of this tumultuous year, but now a rekindled fire burns as the organization prepares to help humanity through various projects planned throughout the Philippines in 2021.
One big step towards a fresh start was the relocation of the HAPI Headquarters to the City of Malolos, Bulacan. The new look and additional space has made it easier to entertain guests and be more efficient in planning our activities. The new headquarters may be farther from Metro Manila, but it provides a venue for small events and a home away from home for members and officers.
HAPI also experienced a change in officers before its anniversary. The turnover has proven to be another step in the right direction as the organization aims to be more efficient and transparent in its movements.
This year, HAPI kicked off its anniversary with a Basic First Aid Training seminar for local mothers in the area and an introduction of HAPI. This was to help those in the area better understand what HAPI is and what programs it provides. The day ended with a delicious meal and a virtual celebration with other officers.
2020 was not the year any of us expected it to be. It was with resilience that HAPI was able to band together across the Philippines and work towards common goals. Through it all, HAPI remains standing and looks forward to many more years of serving humanity.
