HAPI-Kids Teaching Kids

This time, the HAPI Kids’ volunteers had the chance to teach the younger kids.

On May 1 2019, Wednesday,  at Purok 7-c ilaya St. Alabang Muntinlupa City,  in the afternoon,  the children woke up early to prepare for HAPI Program.  Almost 70 children attended  in this  HAPI Program to learn and to teach them reading and writing of the alphabet. These  are the children who has not yet enroled in school. Only one  of the children had some schooling, and  she is able to teach her fellow children how to write and read the alphabet. The children are very, very happy because they were able to learn to read and write the alphabet.

Ate Jamie Martinez prepared healthy foods for the children. She cooked pancit, ginataang sitaw and fried chicken. After the children studied,  they were  happy eating healthy foods because they ate  together in the same table, thus,  it became their boodle fight. After the HAPI Program the children were satisfied and learned a lot. That’s why we thank very much HAPI for the continuous help and support for the children here in Alabang. THANK YOU SO MUCH HAPI – from Mj Martinez Carapatan

Last May 1, 2019 Wednesday, we  woke up early and prepared for the HAPI event.  In the afternoon,  at 7C Ilaya Compound, near the Philippine National Railways Alabang Station behind Ayala Malls South Park in Muntinlupa.  The HAPI event was  lead by Jamie Del Rosario Martinez, together with the volunteers, conducted  an educational activities servicing about 70 children from urban poor communities of Alabang.  This event  lead them to learn a lot and have more knowledge that they can use with their daily lives even if it’s vacation. We also had our traditional boodle fight right  after the activity. The children ate  a lot of nutritious food that will keep them healthy, and also it will serve as their bonding time,  because they are happily eating together. After that, they are all helping each other and also us,  the volunteers to clean the place, because it’s our duty to take care and keep our surroundings always in good condition.

Kids are very thankful and grateful to HAPI for having them to be part of its program and have an opportunity to learn more and on how to protect our environment and learn the ABC.

And this kind of little action will be a good start for the goodness and sharing of humanist values to everyone.

Thank you Ma’am Marissa – by Lhoy Martinez
