HAPI to be back in school! | Brigada 2022

About 250 kids from HAPI’s various chapters received school materials as some schools throughout the Philippines gradually return to face-to-face instruction.
In accordance with their grade level, 250 kids from HAPI-Alabang, HAPI-Bulacan, HAPI-Cavite, HAPI-Delarama, and HAPI-Cagayan de Oro got notebooks, intermediate writing pads, pens, pencils, and crayons; kids from HAPI-Bulacan also received additional necessities like toothbrushes and toothpaste. Thanks to our kind contributors, these implements made the kids’ lives easier by reducing the financial strain of purchasing pricey educational supplies and enhanced the children’s educational opportunities too! Of course, all of the kids were urged to put up their best effort as this will be their first time attending classes in person since the pandemic began.
“Education is one of the most important aspects of our existence,” said Johnny Denden, Lead Convenor of HAPI-CDO. “[It] is the key to teaching us how the world works, understanding it, and accepting differences with humility. It’s very hard to [discern] between good and bad without education as this institution is the source of basic knowledge that forms our future leaders and professionals.”
Denden further asserted that while face-to-face education had to come to a halt due to the Covid-19 pandemic, HAPI-CDO’s drive to help equip schoolchildren will not diminish. All HAPI chapters will continue their advocacy of helping those in need so that no one will be left behind.
