The new breed of youth volunteers!

Last January 24, 2023, HAPI-Alabang held a meeting discussing some points that new volunteers need to know. The event also became an opportunity to distribute the custom t-shirts that volunteers in the chapter were eagerly waiting for.

The meeting started with an introduction to HAPI and what its advocacy is all about. Then they were asked to sign the Volunteer Agreement Form, which contains eleven articles discussing every detail of what are they volunteering for.

“Being a volunteer is fun and there are many ways for them to help their community,” said Angie Driskell, HAPI Junior Ambassador, about the new recruits. “It does, however, also mean that they have a responsibility to the organization. They represent HAPI and their chapter, so they must understand its mission and vision. They must also be able to explain what humanism is to those they will be helping in their future projects.”

After the discussion about the form, the t-shirts were then distributed among the new volunteers. The meeting ended with eating the lunch that was prepared for everyone.

By the meeting’s end, volunteers were ready to dedicate their free time to volunteering at HAPI.
