HSCP Parent Orientation and Registration
In line with the upcoming April-May event, the Parent Orientation and Seminar on Separation Anxiety in Children and Parents of HAPI Summer Class Program (HSCP) was held at the Milenyo Daycare Center, North Fairview, Quezon City on February 22, 2017.
The event was hosted by Ms. Jean Karla M. Tapao, the Project Coordinator of HAPI Summer Class Program with the coordination of Kagawad Giecel Espia of Barangay North Fairview. Registration was started at 9 o’clock in the morning headed by teacher Edna, one of the teachers in Milenyo Daycare Center.
Turnout for the orientation event was expected to number up to 200 at most. However, based on the list of attendees, attendees numbered more that they had expected.
“The number of our attendees could be a positive sign for our program because it seems that a lot of parents are willing to enroll their child/children for the upcoming summer class program.” Ms. Espia said.
Kagawad Giecel Espia begun her opening remarks by welcoming the parents and the speaker, Ms. Jean Karla M. Tapao. Ms. Jean gave a short discussion about the HAPI Organization and HAPI Summer Class Program followed by the Symptoms, Causes and Cure of Separation Anxiety Disorder in Children and Parents.
Ms. Jean played videos about Separation Anxiety in Children before discussing the topic on-hand. During her discussion, the parents attentively listened while others jotted down notes. Free lunch was sponsored by Barangay North Fairview.
After the discussion, the parents were given time to freely ask questions or verifications about the program.
According to Ms. Tapao, “Based on the number who attended today, I think we need more preschool teachers and shadow teachers and same with the school supplies”.
