The luckiest among us have relatives, friends, and coworkers who’ve understood our plight from the beginning. In doing so, they inspire us to pursue our objectives while offering insightful remarks. However, in contrast to the pre-digital world when we had to physically engage with people, many of us now converse online. While it is a lot easier and more convenient, it has also prevented us from meeting halfway. Even though our smartphones are only a touch away, communication is becoming more difficult every day.
These days, relationships are built on transactions rather than shared connections, which makes the modern world extremely unpredictable. The fact of the matter is that some people contact you only when they want something. When one experiences this kind of connection, it leads to a great deal of ambiguity and bewilderment.
We should realize that there are still many people who care about us; it’s just that the walls they put up have become more and more difficult to break through in the modern world.
Despite the convenience of online communication, the number of broken relationships and conflicts born out of mutual confusion is steadily rising. We end up isolating ourselves because we could no longer rely on the words and deeds of others.
Many relationships between family members, friends, and colleagues have been harmed by this problem. To remedy them, we may start by carefully cutting back on our usage of social media platforms when we feel a relationship growing increasingly distant. To strengthen our relationships, we should see our friends and family in person rather than rely solely on our screens. By doing this, we could slowly repair the communication gap and growing lack of mutual trust that has weakened those old bonds.
Even when we feel alone, we should realize that there are still many people who care about us; it’s just that the walls they put up have become more and more difficult to break through in the modern world. By reaching out, we can remind ourselves of how crucial it is to meet peers face-to-face; it is far better than utilizing platforms that deny us the opportunity to effectively communicate with each other.
